The Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors have quickly become my favourite lip products. They are nourishing, moisturising and give a hint of colour which is perfect especially in the cold weather. The formulas are soft and creamy but not sticky and have a delicious vanilla scent that’s not too overpowering. They’re designed to give instant moisture with extracts of shea butter and wild mango as well as vitamins A and E – so they really feel like they’re doing some good.
Clarins’ “3D Radiance Pigment” technology is designed to reflect light and make your lips appear fuller and more radiant. You can apply these before lipstick as a treatment, apply on their own, or use on top of lip products to add shine. They really do what they claim to do and are beautiful, long lasting, versatile products. It’s safe to say they live up to their hype. I’ve picked up the Instant Light Lip Perfector in 04 Petal Shimmer and the Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in 03 My Pink.
The Instant Light Lip Perfector in 04 Petal Shimmer is a light delicate pink gel/balm/gloss hybrid that gives instant moisture to the lips with a light pink sheen. This formula is long lasting despite its glossy finish and really feels soft and nourishing. The lady at the Clarins counter also told me that the formula contains caramel which is meant to stop sugar cravings throughout the day. I will definitely have to put this to the test – if this is actually true I might have to buy the whole range.
The Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors were only meant to be temporary limited edition products, but are now permanent fixtures in the Clarins beauty range due to popular demand. Clarins are due to bring out more colours in the balms to accompany the liquid formula. I currently own 03 My Pink which is a light pink balm designed to give instant moisture and light, while reacting to the natural pigment in your lips – so you have your very own custom pink colour in seconds. The balms are just as radiant and moisturising as the liquid formula in my opinion and are well worth investing in. I’m definitely a Clarins Instant Light convert!
