A Perfect Pink Lipstick

So recently I went to MAC, (shocker), and found what I would say is my idea of a perfect pink lipstick. I’m usually a sucker for neutral/nude lipsticks and I swear I have multiple shades that are near enough the same, so it was about time I went for a slightly brighter colour for Spring/Summer. While I was searching the lipstick testers in MAC, I kept being drawn to this colour over and over again. I’d swatch it on my hand, try a few more colours, and then end up picking this one up again unintentionally. The lipstick in question is MAC Creme Cup, and I love it.

Creme Cup is a cool toned dusky pink that I feel would suit most skin tones and complexions. Since I am quite pale, pink/nude colours can wash me out quite easily, but this colour does a good job of brightening the face and bringing out my features. This lipstick is in the Cremesheen finish, which is a personal favourite finish of mine. The Cremesheen finish means that it’s still pigmented but the texture is softer because of its creamy formula, and it feels nourishing on the lips. I’ve found that it lasts a fairly long time but does need reapplication throughout the day, more so than the matte finish lipsticks.

I’m so pleased with this lipstick and recommend to anyone in need of a pretty pink shade for their collection. It’s ideal for the warmer weather and adds a pop of colour to the face without being too overpowering. It’s not only a great lipstick for your own collection, but I think that it would make a lovely present for someone else as the shade is so universally flattering. I definitely will be repurchasing this lipstick again!

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried Creme Cup. Any MAC lipstick recommendations are also more than welcome!
