Trying On… Rimmel

I’m a big Rimmel fan and have been since I first discovered makeup. It’s one of those brands that I feel is a good all-rounder and at a very reasonable price. I’m a lover of Rimmel base products and think that their foundations are probably some of the best in the drugstore, you can’t really go wrong with them in my opinion! If you’d like to see my top Rimmel picks, keep reading…

1. Rimmel Match Perfection & Stay Matte Powder:

I’ve gone through a fair amount of Rimmel foundations and always find myself returning to them. They have a great range of colours and the formulas are long-wearing and comfortable to wear. The Match Perfection foundation gives medium to buildable coverage and other products sit well on top of it. I also love the Stay Matte powder and use this to set any face products. It’s not cakey at all to the point you can’t really tell it’s there, but it gets the job done.

2. Eyeshadows:

I have a Rimmel eyeshadow quad in ‘Smokey Brun’ and one of their mono eyeshadows in ‘VIP Pass’. These are well pigmented for a lower-end brand. I used to use another of the Rimmel quads when I first got into makeup and I must say the quality was just as good then as it is now. Smokey Brun has some really flattering brown shades and is perfect for beginners. VIP Pass is a lovely warm dark bronze colour that looks great just on its own. It’s also very pigmented and made one of my ‘beauty favourites’ posts recently.

3. Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in ‘Nude’:

This has been my product of choice for applying in my waterline to give a more awake and wide-eyed look after those heavy weekends. It’s waterproof meaning that it stays put and is the perfect shade for the waterline. It does a good job of mimicking the natural colour and isn’t too nude nor too stark white which is ideal.

Thanks for reading this post on my Rimmel favourites! Have you tried them?
