Maybelline is a good old reliable drugstore brand full of great products. Their products are great quality and very affordable which makes this brand a staple in a lot of makeup collections. I’ve found that some of my go-to everyday products are from this brand, and I have a fair few that I would recommend. If you’d like to see my top 3 recommendations, please keep reading…
1. Fit Me Foundation:
I featured this foundation a while ago in my Beauty On A Budget: A Foundation Favourite which I said was ‘an unexpected hit’. And I stand by that now. It doesn’t look like much in the tube and feels very thin when you squeeze it out, but when applied to the skin it morphs into a matte formula foundation that covers blemishes, mattifies the skin, and gives a seamless and poreless finish. The coverage is medium-buildable and doesn’t feel cakey or thick at all. It is so inexpensive and probably a lot better than some high end alternatives out there so is great if you’re on a budget. If you’re looking for a matte foundation for normal-oily skin that mattifies yet looks luminous, this is a great pick.
2. Age Rewind Eraser Eye Concealer:
This concealer is great for covering blemishes and brightening the under-eye while not creasing or looking too thick. It covers just enough and is very long lasting. You might think that the applicator sponge is a bit gimmicky to start with but it does actually work very well. The concealer is deposited onto the skin through the sponge and then you can use it to spread it over the skin quickly and evenly. It blends in well and doesn’t seem to oxidise much at all, and not to mention it’s so affordable. Definitely worth picking up.
3. Lash Sensational Mascara:
This is a really great mascara. I would say it’s almost as good, if not the same as the Benefit Rollerlash mascara which is one of my long time favourites. The wand is plastic and curved to help catch the lashes and push them upwards. I featured the Lash Sensational as a drugstore dupe to the Rollerlash in a previous post and so many people said they loved this mascara as much as its high end alternative. It’s jet black and stays on all day, while giving definition to your lashes with minimal effort. If you don’t want to spend much on a mascara but want a decent one, I recommend the Lash Sensational. If you want to see how the two compare, check out my 10 Beauty Dupes post.
Thanks for reading my Trying On… Maybelline post! Will you be trying any of these products?
